Presentation of a €20,000 Cheque to the Solar Impulse Foundation by the CCI France International Network A Collective Commitment to a Sustainable Future

CCI France International presented a €20,000 cheque to the Solar Impulse Foundation, the result of an inspiring sports challenge that brought together Chambers and their members from across the global network. Among the participants, CCI France Estonia stood out for its strong involvement, reflecting the Chamber’s commitment to the ecological transition.

The cheque presentation was marked by a powerful moment: an inspiring talk by Pauline Michiels, representative of the Solar Impulse Foundation, who shared the mission of the organization founded by explorer Bertrand Piccard. This partnership reflects a shared ambition to promote practical, profitable, and sustainable solutions to climate challenges.

Energy Efficiency: An Underused but Vital Lever

Each year, billions are lost due to inefficient energy processes. Efficiency, at the heart of Solar Impulse’s mission, represents nearly 40% of the global potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The famous Solar Impulse aircraft, capable of flying day and night without fuel, is living proof: 94% energy efficiency, without a single drop of fuel.

The Foundation has already awarded its label to over 1,800 solutions, evaluated for both economic viability and positive environmental impact. These innovations span five major sectors: buildings and construction; energy and utilities; agri-food and natural environment; mobility; and industry/consumption.

A Collaborative Dynamic: The Example of the Webinar with CCI France Estonia and CoinsPaid

This partnership also takes shape through concrete actions, such as the webinar co-organized with CCI France Estonia and its member CoinsPaid, which gathered nearly 80 employees.

During this session, several sustainable solutions tailored to their business were presented, reinforcing the link between environmental innovation and CSR engagement.

Connect, Inspire, Transform

Through tools like the Solution Explorer – an intelligent platform for discovering sustainable innovations – and initiatives like the Pioneers Forum, the Solar Impulse Foundation is working toward a more responsible world.

It operates across four pillars: raising awareness; transforming markets; mobilizing finance; and policy advocacy.

Looking ahead, the Foundation is already preparing for its next challenge: a non-stop, zero-emission round-the-world flight in 2028, this time powered by liquid hydrogen. A visionary project that, like the last one, aims to push the boundaries of innovation to accelerate the transition.

This €20,000 donation is more than just a gesture: it is a tangible contribution to systemic change and an invitation for every company to take an active role in building a sustainable future.
